Luminous wellness wonderland

The Müller architectural office from Ruswil designed the eight-metre-long pool in light-coloured concrete. It is framed by porcelain stoneware tiles with a ship's plank look. Their warm wooden look is an exciting contrast to the blue of the water and the quarry stone wall with flat screen TV on the long side of the room. But the icing on the cake of this private spa is the sauna cabin and steam bath by Küng with a view of the pool.

Oases of well-being in the direct neighbourhood
Thanks to a completely glazed front and floating loungers, the swimming hall and sauna cabin merge visually. The steam bath is directly adjacent to the sauna, but is located in a corner of the room and has a particularly cosy design: Rounded mosaic stone benches in wood tones face each other in the cabin, and in the middle there is an altar-like steam fountain with rose quartz blocks and a water shower. It becomes magical when the innovative lighting technology sets the scene for the steam bath, sauna or pool...

Materialisation
Concrete is probably the most popular building material of the modern age. It is contrasted here with rough quarry stone and fine stoneware in a wooden ship plank look. A backlit stone wall in the sauna and a marble wall next to the steam bath compliment the play of materials. The mosaic stone benches and wooden loungers in the cabins also prove that extravagance can be found in detail.
