Private wellness oasis with a sauna, 42 m²

A private spa area that combines relaxation, design, and functionality: In this modern single-family home, a spacious private wellness oasis spanning approximately 42 m² was created, featuring a sauna, steam room, and whirlpool tub. Various retreat and relaxation areas complement the concept and create a place where the whole family can unwind.

Across from the sauna, a relaxation area echoes the same material. Vertical slats made of thermally treated aspen define the space, provide privacy, and yet allow for intriguing views. In this way, the custom-built sauna blends harmoniously with the design of the entire wellness oasis.

The use of materials was deliberately limited to a few high-quality elements. Light-colored and gray surfaces contrast with warm thermally treated aspen wood and the striking natural stone Black Fusion. This creates a harmonious overall look in which the sauna, steam room, relaxation area, and whirlpool tub blend seamlessly into a single unit.

One highlight is located along the whirlpool tub: here, the natural stone is showcased as a backlit mountain silhouette. The motif references the Alpine surroundings and gives this private wellness oasis a distinctive character.

Creating a harmonious wellness area from a variety of elements requires precise planning and careful coordination among all trades. Large-format glass elements, natural stone, lighting, and sauna technology, in particular, place special demands on planning and installation.

The result demonstrates how a custom-designed home sauna can be integrated into a holistic interior design concept that goes far beyond the traditional sauna cabin. Wood, stone, glass, water, and light blend together to create a personal retreat—designed for many relaxing hours at home.
