A look into Daniel's world of infusion
At Wellnessmanufaktur Küng, we are always on the lookout for people who not only have specialist expertise, but also a passionate dedication to their craft. We are delighted to welcome Daniel Gufler to our team as our new project manager for wellness facilities. However, Daniel is not only an expert in his field of project management, but also a passionate infusion master who even demonstrates his passion on a national and international level.
Daniel, how did you become an infusion master?
"I've been fascinated by infusions for several years now, and South Tyrol is known for its beautiful wellness hotels with large saunas that provide an ideal stage for show infusions. The first time I visited a sauna as a guest, I was fascinated by the atmosphere. I was instantly impressed by the infusion masters and their skills, the different fragrances and the effect of the infusion on body and mind. From then on, it was clear to me that I wanted to learn more about it and become an infusion master myself. So it was when my colleague and sauna world champion "Helli" handed me a bucket of water, a frond cloth and ice balls with various essences at the renowned 5* Hotel Andreus, initially as a personal trainer and finally as an infusion master, with the words: "Good sweat".
How do you prepare for competitions like the infusion championships?
"Preparing for the competitions requires a lot of discipline and commitment. In addition to training my infusion techniques, including as an infusion master at the Fitnesspark National in Lucerne, I work intensively on the selection and combination of essential oils to create the perfect fragrance. Programming light and sound requires technical knowledge and a lot of time. Designing the sauna picture and creating the decorations requires a lot of patience and creativity. I am actively supported by my partner. It's also important to be physically fit to get through the strenuous competitions. But the most important thing for me is to be passionate about what I do, to put a smile on the faces of the sauna guests and to always want to give my best. I'm delighted that I can turn my passion for the sauna into a career with Küng."
