Küng Wellness and Cosentino are launching a collaboration and presenting a sauna clad in DKTN by Cosentino, a robust high-tech material with the look and feel of natural stone. The first presentation of the joint project took place at the end of March, and now the sauna is embarking on a journey through Switzerland with a new look.

Taking a sauna in the garden or on the terrace?

Lake, mountains and blossoming spring greenery surround the Nido Outdoor sauna, which was presented for the first time at the Stuber Tage in Rotkreuz. A compact box with a glass front and a window that creates a view to the outside and thus enables a perfect experience of nature during a sauna session. It is now travelling and is currently inspiring visitors at the Bauarena Volketswil, in July at the spring exhibition at Maxxpark Oftringen and in autumn at the Design Days Zurich.

But unlike conventional models, this sauna has a dark, noble cladding. The beautiful veining is reminiscent of natural stone, but this is the Natural Collection Laurent from DKTN by Cosentino. The ultra-compact surface material is a mix of natural materials such as glass and porcelain. It has the appearance of stone and is robust, durable and completely weatherproof. The large-format slabs with which Nido Outdoor is clad are in line with a general trend in interior design and garden design. Thanks to the wide range of colours in the DKTN by Cosentino collection, the design freedom is great - and the best thing about it: the cladding remains unchanged in beauty even after years and despite the weather.

This holistic concept could be realised from a single source thanks to the cooperation with Granimor, a sister company of Küng in the added value group. Thanks to the close cooperation with the experts in natural stone and ceramics, the cladding could be realised ventilated and without any visible fastening at all, just like the façade construction.

If desired, the vestibule can also be clad in DKTN or even equipped as a shower.
