Blissful wellbeing
"The design and the hotel name reflect what Trauffer does: we turn boards into cows," Brigitte Trauffer explains the concept of the Bretterhotel. Marc A. Trauffer's wife is co-owner and hostess at the hotel, for whose interior she was largely responsible. "It should not be a chalet style, but traditional and at the same time very modern - handcrafted and sustainable," says the hostess. The interior is a mix of solid wood, concrete and black elements that give it an industrial touch. Even the feel-good bathrooms were made entirely of seamless, black matt WSP® from our sister company Steinhaus GmbH. The decisive factors for this decision were the robustness and easy cleaning of this high-tech material. Thanks to its endless design possibilities in form and colour, the bathrooms could be perfectly adapted to the concept.

In her joint project Bretterhotel, Brigitte Trauffer acts as managing director and hostess. The career changer in the hotel and restaurant business has a landlord's licence and training as a restaurant manager.
Private Sauna aus Arvenholz
Quality and Swissness are high on Trauffers' agenda, which is why some of the rooms even feature a sauna made of Swiss stone pine from Küng Wellness. In this way, the operators are following the trend towards a spa within their own hotel walls. Instead of public spa areas, wellness suites offer the retreat option of a private quiet zone. There are five exclusive suites on the upper floor, four of which have a Finnish sauna, the large suite a bio-sauna. The saunas from the Swiss wellness manufacturer offer space for two people and distribute their soothing arva fragrance throughout the room. The compact saunas are perfectly embedded in the interior and are equipped with frameless glass fronts that offer a view of the room. Here, hotel guests find perfect relaxation and a piece of wellness bliss in their own sauna after an eventful carving course, a sporty bike tour or a leisurely hike. Infuse and enjoy.
Tele 1 with the programme "on the road" as a guest with Trauffer
Host Brigitte Trauffer gives Damian Betschart and the viewers unique insights into her hotel, including the wellness rooms with integrated Küng sauna. Besides the "cool" Trauffer wooden cows, the rooms with stone pine sauna are an absolute eye-catcher. They pamper hotel guests with soothing warmth, modern design and the calming scent of Swiss stone pine.
We wish all hotel guests a wonderful stay and are delighted when a sauna session completes their experience.
