Classical high temperatures
A spa in the bathroom is a dream for many - the residents of this home have made it a reality. It was made possible by Kueng's space-saving combined sauna and steam shower system. To enhance the relaxation experience even further, a fold-out infrared panel has been integrated into the sauna. So it can be relaxed here in several ways: From the classic high-temperature sauna, to the gentle bio-sauna and the depth-effective infrared heat therapy, to the shower in the hot steam.
Dialogue of materials
To create a harmonious unity, the sauna and steam shower cabin follow the design of the rest of the bathroom: thus, black mottled floor and wall tiles are also found in the sweat chambers, which also form the bench in the steam shower. Light-colored wall tiles correspond with the light-colored wood of the sauna, which runs from the side up to the ceiling. To prevent the bathroom from looking too crowded, the front of the combination unit is fully glazed. A cozy, warm strip of light connects the sauna and steam shower at the back.
Technology
While the classic Finnish sauna can reach a room temperature of up to 100 degrees, Küng's Biosa sauna does not have quite as high a temperature and is thus gentler on the cardiovascular system. The infrared panels complement both types of sauna in this private wellness facility. In the infrared sauna, invisible infrared rays are emitted from the fold-out panel heating elements and act under the skin. Here the heat rays unfold their depth effect particularly in muscle tissue, joints and organs. However, the air in the cabin is not heated. The steam shower pampers the senses with various showers and therapy options.
